As we enter Ridgewood Symphony’s ruby years, we have to admire the love and dedication that its members and volunteers have poured into orchestra, purely out of their fondness for the organization and the musical family that they’ve known over the years. In this upcoming 80th anniversary season, you’ll find that the orchestra will be taking this milestone as a challenge to keep going further -- to reach for even higher music-making.
This year, we are also welcoming Brent Chancellor as our artistic director. Brent conducts actively around the country, and he brings a level of musicality that will inspire not only the orchestra but you as well.
The programs of this season invite you to listen to favorites such as Brahms’ Third Symphony and Mendelssohn’s “Italian” Symphony, and they also challenge you with lesser-known works such as Lowell Liebermann’s Piccolo Concerto.
To celebrate the symphony’s Ruby Anniversary, we will be launching a fundraising campaign to double our endowment and to grow the orchestra.
The Ridgewood Symphony Orchestra is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
